Cashmere is a luxurious fibre made from the fine hair of the Capra Hircus goat species. This type of wool owes its name to the region of Kashmir, where these goats are originally from. Standards for responsible cashmere production
With the GOOD CASHMERE STANDARD® of the Aid by Trade Foundation, MADELEINE is setting new standards for sustainable and ethical cashmere production. This independent standard was developed to improve the way cashmere goats are kept, the working conditions of farmers and the protection of the environment. Compliance is monitored by independent audits at regular intervals.
